2024 was for me the year of the journal. I spent hours and hours laying on the floor scribbling away all my stresses and worries. Turns out, the best way to change your handwriting is to figure out a way to “draw” a font, which lead me to Primarium.

A project by independent type foundry TypeTogether with support from Google Fonts that documents how handwriting is taught across the world. They researched elementary school text books, government resources, and teaching manuals to find examples of handwriting instruction. Then, they and designed fonts based on each country that you and I can use in our projects.

I modeled my handwriting after the Australian cursive, though the Indian curisve “Marigold” is a close second.
